How do I book a position?

Contact a member of the Administration team to book a position – p: 4976 9552 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You will be provided with a quote and will be tentatively booked into your preferred course date. Your position will be confirmed upon receipt of a purchase order, or full payment.

 

How can I pay?

Payment can be made at our retail shopfront (Shop 2, Spencer House, 120 Hanson Road Gladstone) by cash, cheque or EFTPOS. You can also pay directly into our bank account (account details shown on all quotes, invoices and available upon request – remember to use your name as the payment reference) or credit card over the phone. We accept AMEX and Diners cards; however there is a 5% surcharge to use these cards. Other bankcards do not attract a surcharge.

 

Can you bill my company?

Complete our Vendor Details Form, sign and return to EHSG for processing. This will allow us to issue your company with an invoice. All purchases must be accompanied by a purchase order number or letter of authorisation.

 

How will I know if my position is confirmed?

You will receive a training confirmation, confirming your position as well as other details such as date and time of training.

 

Who accredits EHSG courses?

As an RTO, many of the courses delivered by EHSG are Nationally Recognised. We are audited to and must conform with the Australian Quality Training Framework Standards, as overseen by Queensland Department of Education and Training.

 

Who makes the rules on first aid treatment?

EHSG conforms to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines for all resuscitation and first aid treatments. The ARC is a co-ordinating body which represents all major groups involved in the teaching and practice of resuscitation. The ARC produces guidelines which aim to foster uniformity and simplicity in resuscitation techniques. I need to complete a course, but I can’t find the name on your website: Senior First Aid, Level 2 First Aid etc.

There are many course names for what is basically the same content. Prior to the Nationally Recognised Apply First Aid course, each state had a different name for courses that roughly aligned. Now that first aid training is Nationally Recognised, the Apply First Aid course is generally the minimum standard in most workplaces.

 

Can training be completed at our Workplace?

EHSG can provide training at a venue of your choice, at no additional charge. Please contact us to discuss further.

How do I know the face masks for CPR are clean?

Studies show that the risk of disease transmission during CPR training is extremely low. However, EHSG is committed to ensuring all training materials are maintained to a high standard. After use, face pieces are cleaned and disinfected as per ARC Guidelines. They are then stored in a sealed container until use during training. They are only handled by the user and sealed for cleaning after use.

 

I’m allergic to latex.

This is not uncommon – some people experience a reaction when they come in contact with CPR face masks but this is usually very minor itching or redness which disappears quickly. If you do experience the symptoms of a latex intolerance during training, please speak with your trainer who can suggest alternative ways to conduct the assessment and reduce your contact with the latex.

 

Will you send me a reminder when I need to renew my competency?

We issue email reminders when your competency is due to expire. If you wish to renew a reminder email, please ensure you provide us with an email address through which we can contact you.

 

I can’t attend the session I’m booked into and need to transfer.

We are more than happy to transfer you once should you have a valid personal reason. Please see our Refund Policy if you need to transfer more than once.

 

I can’t attend training and I need a refund.

Please see our Refund Policy – we are more than happy to transfer your booking to another date should you have a valid personal reason.

 

I’m a bit unsure about giving you my personal details.

We are committed to ensuring the privacy of all personal details. As an RTO, we have obligations to report certain details to the government regarding all training participants.
