The hardware and software requirements for eLearn are much the same as normal web browsing.

  • Firefox is the recommended browser for eLearn and Firefox is generally the most compatible browser.
  • Microsoft Edge (on Windows 10) is not currently supported and incompatible.

Students are encouraged to have at least two up-to-date internet browsers with the relevant Flash, Java and Quicktime plug-ins installed on their computer, in case compatibility issues lead to problems with access to eLearn.

Internet Speed Test

Run the bandwidth check at  Oz Broadband Speed Test

A connection speed of 256 KB - will give you reasonably fast connection causing little delay with downloads of large files and give you acceptable speeds for low quality audio streams. Video streaming or high-quality audio streams may not be possible.

A connection speed of 512KB - will give you sufficient bandwidth for eLearn.
